Happy Labor Day

What is it about Labor Day that makes us believe summer is over?  The feeling of fall that creeps into our psyche and tells us to rip up the geraniums and plant some mums.  Perhaps that is why I had my first and last Margarita of  the summer today.  I don't know if it was because I was saluting the end of summer, or toasting the thought of the approaching fall.

For whatever the reason it was nice to sit out on the deck sipping a little and munching on chips and salsa.  Tomorrow though,  I think I might just take a trip to the nursery and buy some mums.  Got to go now, the geraniums are calling out to me. Not to worry , it will be quick.  They'll never know what hit them.

  1. OMG, I wish I had one of those Margaritas! Do you deliver? The salsa and chips look great as well, and I'm really into the idea of relaxing and sitting on the deck, sounds like a perfect afternoon to me . . . RIP geraniums!
