The coffee spoons I use each morning are kept in this milk glass goblet I bought at the local consignment shop for $2.00. Don't you just love a bargain?
Small bowls for dips, nuts and relishes.
The finishing touch is the new fork and spoon hardware for the dish cupboard. We thought it added a touch of whimsy to the kitchen. So friends, there you go.........one cabinet cleaned and organized and it only took me eight hours. I should be finished cleaning and organizing the rest of the house by this time next year. Frequent breaks to talk on the phone, check the bird feeders, walk from room to room, play with the dog and a drive to the Dunkin Donuts furthest from the house is an absolute must when you're in the middle of cleaning.
Gorgeous display, it looks great and you probably love just looking at it all now...with a home reno on the way, I am looking forward to looking at all my things with fresh eyes, and decluttering some of the things I am no longer in love with in my home....

ReplyDeleteYour cupboard looks fabulous, Susan! And the handles add just a wonderful accent. I don't have any mariposa, and actually I didn't even know that's what it was called, but I really like it.
ReplyDeleteI agree, plenty of distractions keep the job moving right along ; )

ReplyDeleteIt is just lovely and just what I needed today. We are just finishing up a kitchen remodel and trying to find new homes for all of our "stuff". Purging and storing is a must for me, not always easy though :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMariposa, how lovely it looks with the white china. Sweet handle pulls too, please show us more, I love your inspiration. Greetings, Julie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect result Susan!
ReplyDeleteI adore white china plus the Mariposa helps to set the clean, crisp design off so perfectly.
My favourite are the fork and spoon handles.
I think I may need to spring clean here, even though we're heading into Autumn soon. Have a restful weekend after all that work! :D
Beautiful. Everything looks so lovely. I love your dishes and the fork and spoon handles are so unique.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job you did of setting up the shelves. The silver pieces are really beautiful and are a nice contrast to the white dishware. And the hardware is just perfect.

ReplyDeleteCame to visit from your link at Urban Cottage. What a gorgeous cupboard! Also, your recipes look interesting....I plan to try the kale salad. My recent health screening came back not so good, so I am trying to eat more healthy and exercise. Looks like you have some healthy recipes. I am looking forward to following your blog! - Patty
ReplyDeleteJust finished unpacking from a three week road trip. After washing and ironing, it will be on to doing spring cleaning. Thank goodness someone else takes little breaks...yes by the end of the year. Your cabinet looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love your all white dishes and Mariposa serving pieces! The fork and spoon handles are so clever. Spring cleaning can be rewarding when one gets results like this!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you put out the "good stuff" to use every day. It makes the mundane a little bit romantic. Celebrate yourself in small ways!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the white on silver look!
