I am on the perimeter of the storm. We are only receiving cold rain right now. But I wanted to say, what a thoughtful post. I know all those housebound and covered with ice and snow have something to look forward to.
What a welcome burst of color! I crave color at this time of year ... I was just looking at the jpg files of all my spring and summer gardens this morning, as the snow came down. It's pretty and all, but I am beginning to feel ready for Springtime, so I did a bit of a time travel via those pictures!
Stay warm and safe in this next big blow ... looks like it could be a doozy!
I nearly bought a bouquet of tulips at the market last week! But I resisted the expense, and just a few days later someone brought us a red bouquet of them! My favorite flower of all. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing tulips pop through the ground! Of course the 70 inches of snow we've had needs to melt! LOL!!! Beautiful photos, thank you for the reminder of what's around the corner!
Hope you are keeping warm and cosy despite the snow.Does Bella enjoy it I wonder? Your bright post has cheered me up on a very dull, wet day! Thanks for visiting, lovely to receive your comments, thank you. :0)
Thank you sharing such lovely pictures!I have a few brave early narcissus flowering in pots and they seem somehow so positive and hopeful too, like your post! Glad to find your lovely blog! Best Wishes from the UK Gill
What beautiful yellow tulips. There are signs of Spring here in Florida, yes. I wish I could send you a warm breeze. It was tropical today. A little on the muggy side. Close your eyes. There. Did you feel it? The warmish breeze I just sent your way? I hope so. Anytime, you need another, drop by and visit. Take care. Brianne
I can't imagine what you're going through with this mega storm! Exciting and scary and beautiful but deadly! So I'm sure those pictures will brighten everyones days. It's dull old grey sky and rain in the UK so they've brightened up my day too! X
Just what I needed, tulips are my favorite! And strawberries, wait a sec, I'll make some fresh whipped cream! Perfect! Beautiful pictures! Supposed to get more lousy weather again tomorrow where I am!
What a beautiful post and much needed. I long for tulips. We planted some in the rose garden last fall and I so hope they come up and put on a show. We planted a mix of red and pink--that will make me very happy. I also love the strawberries--so beautiful too. Happy Saturday Friend, Amy
we must have the same DNA. i just bought a bouquet of soft pink tulips...have them here on my piano and just this morning i asked john....i wonder if the strawberry stand will be open by Valentines Day? oh, we do think alike, my friend.
happy to visit today...next weekend is our Sarabeth weekend :-)
I needed the reminder that Spring will come as it snowed AGAIN last night. Happily, it's "warmer" today (39 degrees, so it's all relative). I'm hoping that some of the ice will melt.
I'm so sorry you've had a bad cold this week! I hope you feel better soon... I'll admit I've missed you blogging. I check back every day and find yellow tulips, which are also always a pleasure to see! The comment you left today at gallimaufry truly warmed my heart. Thank you so much. Hugs.
Both of these are in my top 10 favorites. What a great combination you gave us to take our mine off of the cold. Bless you! I do love tulips and miss having them in my yard. Thanks for making me smile Love ya Maggie

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Florida is the only state not to receive any snow. We are freezing and wet. At least Mother Nature should grant us one snow day (smile).
